Many have asked me over the past couple of years how I lost so much weight. I honestly didn't even think it was possible myself until one day I made a firm decision to stop trashing my body. You would've thought I had an epiphany, but the truth is, I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. I had enough of people watching me eat and having an embarrassing comment after every single bite. I made the decision for myself and nobody else. I had the keys to my success. When i started losing the first few pounds, i thought everyone around me would notice, but It was rare for me to hear any words of encouragement at that time. That didn't stop me from continuing my journey to good health. I knew that in order for me to be happy with me, I had to keep the momentum going. I work out six days a week consistently. I stayed away from bread, pasta, rice, potatoes, and anything else that was really starchy. When I began eliminating some of those things, i began to notice a decrease in the amount of pain I used to feel in my back and had so much more energy when I was working out in the morning. Those things made me more motivated day after day. It was after a few months, when I had lost 60 pounds, I began hearing friends and family congratulating me on how slim i was getting. Deep inside it wasn't more of my appearance I was worried about, but more so my health. I kept going and on top of everything else I was doing, I cut out juice and soda in my meals. I only drink water. I try to have at least a gallon of water daily. Many times we think we're hungry, our body is simply implying that it needs some hydration and nothing is better than some H20.
